Սերբիայի մայրաքաղաք Բելգրադում ավարտվել է բռնցքամարտի Եվրոպայի առաջանությունը, Հայաստանի հավաքականի անդամ Նարեկ Մանասյանը նվաճել է բրոնզե մեդալը։

Ոսկե մեդալի վերջին հույսը մեր հավաքականի համար Նարեկ Մանասյանն էր, որը 92 կգ քաշային կարգի եզրափակիչում մենամարտելու էր Ռուսաստանը ներկայացնող Մուսլիմ Հաջիմագոմեդովի հետ։ Բայց հայ բռնցքամարտիկը մենամարտկն չներկայացավ վնասվածքի պատճառով, ու հաղթանակը շնորհվեց Ռուսաստանի ներկայացուցչին։ Մանասյանը նվաճեց արծաթե մեդալ։
