Իսրայելը մտածում էր Իրանի դեմ պատասխան հարված հասցնել երկուշաբթի գիշերը, բայց ի վերջո որոշեց հետաձգել այն, Axios-ին հայտնել են իսրայելական և ամերիկյան հինգ աղբյուրներ:

Հիշեցնենք, որ Իրանը շաբաթ գիշերն իր տարածքից ավելի քան 300 հարվածային անօդաչու թռչող սարք և հրթիռ է արձակել Իսրայելի ուղղությամբ, ինչն Իսլամական Հանրապետության առաջին ուղիղ հարձակումն էր Իսրայելի վրա: Իսրայելի պաշտպանության բանակի խոսնակ Դանիել Հագարին ասել է, որ ընդհանուր առմամբ Իրանը ավելի քան 300 զինատեսակ է արձակել Իսրայելի ուղղությամբ՝ 170 անօդաչու թռչող սարք, 30 թևավոր և 120 բալիստիկ հրթիռ, և որ դրանց 99%-ը որսացել է Իսրայելի հակաօդային պաշտպանությունը:

Դրանից հետո Իսրայելի կառավարությունը քննարկում է Իրանին պատասխան հարվածներ հասցնելու հարցը։

Իսրայելի պաշտպանության նախարարը հայտնել էր, որ Իրանցիները ձախողվել են իրենց հարձակման մեջ և չեն կարողանա զսպել Իսրայելին։
