Գերմանիայի կանցլեր Օլաֆ Շոլցը հայտարարել է, որ ՆԱՏՕ-ի և Եվրամիության (ԵՄ) երկրները համակարծիք են այն հարցում, որ զորք չեն ուղարկի Ուկրաինա։ Այս մասին նա հայտարարել է Ֆրայբուրգ իմ Բրեյսգաու քաղաք կատարած այցի ժամանակ։

«Ուկրաինայի հողում չեն լինի եվրոպական պետությունների կամ ՆԱՏՕ-ի երկրների կողմից այնտեղ ուղարկված ո՛չ ցամաքային ուժեր, ո՛չ էլ զինվորականներ»,- ասել է կանցլերը, որին մեջբերում է գերմանական NTV հեռուստաալիքը:

Ֆրանսիայի նախագահ Էմանուել Մակրոնը երեկ՝ փետրվարի 26-ին, չի բացառել, որ արևմտյան զորքեր կարող են ուղարկվել Ուկրաինա։ Լեհաստանն ու Շվեդիան, ինչպես նաև ԱՄՆ-ն Սլովակիան, Չեխիան և Հունգարիան արդեն իսկ մերժել են այս գաղափարը։

ՆԱՏՕ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղար Ենս Ստոլտենբերգը հաստատել է, որ Ուկրաինայում ՆԱՏՕ-ի մարտական ստորաբաժանումներ տեղակայելու ծրագրեր չունեն։

Կրեմլը զգուշացրել է, որ եթե Արևմուտքը զորքեր ուղարկի Ուկրաինա, դաշինքի հետ հակամարտությունն անխուսափելի կլինի։
