Մահացել է Ռոթշիլդների ընտանիքի լոնդոնյան ճյուղի ամենատարեց ներկայացուցիչը՝  լորդ Ջեյքոբ Ռոթշիլդը։ Նա 87 տարեկան էր։

Ինչպես գրում է Daily Mail-ը, ֆինանսիստն իր կարիերան սկսել է ընտանեկան բանկում (NM Rothschild & Sons) 1963 թվականին:
