Ճապոնիայում տեղի ունեցած երկրաշարժի զոհերի թիվը հասել է 100-ի, հայտնում է Kyodo գործակալությունը։
Նախկինում հաղորդվում էր 94 զոհի և 464 վիրավորի մասին։ Եվս 211 մարդու անվտանգությունը տեղական իշխանությունները չեն կարողանում հաստատել:

2024 թվականի առաջին օրը Ճապոնիայի արևմտյան ափին գտնվող Իսիկավա պրեֆեկտուրայի տարածքում ժամը 16.06-ին տեղի են ունեցել մի շարք խոշոր երկրաշարժեր: Ամենաուժեղ երկրաշարժը եղել է 7,6 մագնիտուդով, որի օջախը «մակերեսին չափազանց մոտ է եղել»։ Ստորգետնյա ցնցումների հիմնական մասի ուժգնությունը տատանվել է 4,5-ից 5,7 մագնիտուդի միջև։ Ճապոնիայում ընդունված յոթ բալանոց սանդղակով ցնցումները գրանցվել են 3-ից 7 բալ ուժգնությամբ։
