Հռոմի Պապ Ֆրանցիսկոսը մեքսիկական N+ հեռուստաալիքին տված հարցազրույցում ասել է, որ արդեն քննարկել է իր հուղարկավորությունը նման արարողությունների կազմակերպիչների հետ, և ասել է, որ իրեն հուղարկավորեն Սանտա Մարիա Մաջիորե հռոմեական բազիլիկայում։

«Տեղն արդեն պատրաստ է, ես ուզում եմ թաղվել Սանտա Մարիա Մաջորեում։ Այո, քանի որ ես շատ նվիրված եմ այս վայրին, շատ։ Ես միշտ գնում էի այնտեղ։ Կիրակի առավոտները միշտ մի քիչ մնում էի այնտեղ։ Շատ ամուր կապեր ունեմ»,- ասել է Հռոմի Պապը։

Խոսելով իր մահվան և առաջիկա թաղման արարողության մասին՝ նա հեգնանքով նշել է, որ «նման հավանականություն միշտ կա, և մենք պետք է պատրաստվենք»։ Նա հավելել է, որ ինքն արդեն հանդիպել է պապական հուղարկավորության արարողությունների կազմակերպիչների հետ։
