Իսպանիան կանչել է Իսրայելի դեսպանին՝ վարչապետ Պեդրո Սանչեսի այն մեկնաբանությունների պատճառով, որ Իսրայելը Գազայի հատվածում խաղաղ բնակիչների է սպանում, հայտնում է Al Jazeera-ն։

Իսպանիայի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Խոսե Մանուել Ալբարեսն ուրբաթ օրը ասել է, որ ինքը կանչել է Ռոդիկա Ռադիան-Գորդոնին՝ բացատրելու իր կառավարության «կեղծ և անընդունելի» հայտարարությունները Իսպանիայի առաջնորդի հասցեին։

Ուրբաթ օրը, երբ Բելգիայի վարչապետ Ալեքսանդր դե Կրոոյի հետ այցելել են Ռաֆահի անցակետ, Սանչեսը և Դե Կրոն Իսրայելի կողմից Գազայի հատվածի ռմբակոծումն անվանել են «անընդունելի», որից հետո Իսրայելը կանչել է Իսպանիայի և Բելգիայի դեսպաններին:

Իսրայելի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Էլի Կոենն ասել է, որ դեսպանները կանչվել են «խիստ նկատողություն» ստանալու համար, և որ Իսրայելը գործում է «միջազգային իրավունքի համաձայն»՝ «կռվելով ԻՊ-ից ավելի վատ մարդասպան ահաբեկչական կազմակերպության դեմ»։
