Նախկին ռազմական ինքնաթիռն ընկել է Մելբուրնի Մորնինգթոն թերակղզու ջրերը՝ մեկ այլ ինքնաթիռի հետ օդային բախումից հետո, հայտնում է AP-ն։

Կիրակի օրը ժամը 14.45-ին Մարթա լեռից մոտ 12 կմ դեպի արևմուտք գտնվող Պորտ Ֆիլիպ ծոցում տեղի ունեցած միջադեպի առիթով արտակարգ ծառայություններ են կանչվել:

Ավստրալիայի ծովային անվտանգության վարչությունը հաստատել է, որ երկու ViperS-211 Marchetti թեթև ինքնաթիռներ իրար են բախվել, և  ինքնաթիռներից մեկն ընկել է ջուրը։

Այդ պահին ինքնաթիռում երկու մարդ է եղել։

Օդաչուով և ուղևորով երկրորդ ինքնաթիռը բարեհաջող վայրէջք է կատարել Էսենդոնի օդանավակայանում։
