Միացյալ Նահանգներն «կոշտ նախազգուշացում» է ուղարկում Իրանին և խնդրում զսպվածություն ցուցաբերել, քանի որ իրավիճակը Մերձավոր Արևելքում վատանում է։ Այս մասին CNN-ին ասել է Սպիտակ տան Ազգային անվտանգության խորհրդի ռազմավարական հաղորդակցությունների համակարգող Ջոն Քիրբին։

«Մենք, իհարկե, կգործենք, եթե անհրաժեշտ լինի՝ պաշտպանելու մեր զորքերը և օբյեկտները: Սա խիստ նախազգուշացում է, որm Իրանը պետք է ընկալի: Մենք լուրջ ենք վերաբերվում տարածաշրջանում մեր ազգային անվտանգության շահերին, այդ իսկ պատճառով նախագահ Բայդենն երկու ավիակիր հարվածային խմբեր է ակտիվացրել»,- ասել է Քիրբին։

Ըստ ТАСС-ի, Քիրբին նաև հավելել է, որ ԱՄՆ-ն որոշումներ կկայացնի՝ պաշտպանելու զինվորականներին «իր ընտրած ցանկացած պահի»։
