Իսրայելը գնդակոծել է քաղաքներ Լիբանանի հարավում՝ ի պատասխան Լիբանանից արձակված հակատանկային հրթիռների։ Իսրայելցի զինվորականները հայտնել էին, որ կգրոհեն Լիբանանի դեմ այն բանից հետո, երբ չորեքշաբթի նրանց հյուսիսային դիրքերից մեկը ենթարկվել էր գնդակոծման հակատանկային միջոցներից։

Հարձակումը տեղի է ունեցել իսրայելական Արաբ ալ-Արամշե քաղաքից ոչ հեռու՝ Լիբանանի Դայրա գյուղի մոտ։

Լիբանանի անվտանգության ծառայության աղբյուրը տեղեկացրել է, որ «Հեզբոլլահը» երկու հթրիռ է արձակել Իսրայելի դեմ։

Լիբանանի հարավային Ռմեյշ քաղաքի բնակիչները տեղեկացրել են, որ իսրայելական գնդակոծումը տեղի է ունեցել իրենց քաղաքի շուրջ, իսկ անվտանգության ծառայության աղբյուրը Reuters-ին տեղեկացրել է, որ իսրայելական հրետանային արկերը ընկել են հրթիռների արձակման կետի վրա Դայրայի շրջանոմ։

Լիբանանյան «Հեզբոլլահը» կառավարվող հրթիռ է արձակել իսրայելական տանկի դեմ՝ դրա ոչնչացման տեսանյութ հրապարակելով, իսկ ՀԱՄԱՍ-ը հայտնել է, որ հրթիռ է արձակել Իսրայելի ուղղությամբ։
