Օգոստոսի 4-ի լույս 5-ի գիշերը ծովային անօդաչու թռչող սարքի կիրառմամբ հարձակման է ենթարկվել ռուսական քաղաքացիական նավը, որը գտնվում էր Կերչի նեղուցի մոտ գտնվող ճանապարհի վրա։ Նախնական տվյալներով՝ «Sig» ծովային լցանավը շարժիչի սենյակում անցք է ստացել, ինչի արդյունքում կորցրել է ինքնուրույն շարժվելու ունակությունը։ Բարեբախտաբար, տանկերի անձնակազմը չի տուժել։ Կատարվում են փրկարարական աշխատանքներ։ Այս մասին ասված է ՌԴ ԱԳՆ պաշտոնական ներկայացուցիչ Մարիա Զախարովայի հայտարարության մեջ։
