Իրանի ներքին գործերի նախարար Ահմադ Վահիդին այցելել է Իրաք, որտեղ հանդիպել եւ բանակցություններ է վարել Իրաքի պաշտոնակցի՝ Աբդուլ Ամիր ալ-Շամարիի հետ Զարբաթիա-Մեհրան սահմանակետում, տեղեկացրել է Mehr-ը։

Իրաքյան աղբյուրները տեղեկացրել են, որ ուղեւորության նպատակը անվտանգության հարցերով հանդիպում անցկացնելն է։

Իրաքի ներքին գործերի նախարարությունը հայտարարել է, որ երկու կողմերը կարծիքներ են փոխանակում անվտանգության համակարգման, սահմանային վերահսկողության եւ իրանցի ուխտավորներին Արբաինի ուխտագնացությանն ընդունելու հարցերի վերաբերյալ։

Այս հանդիպմանը պետք է ներկա գտնվեն Բասրայի նահանգապետերը, Իրաքի սահմանակետերի ղեկավարները, ինչպես նաեւ իրանցի պաշտոնյաներ։
