Միացյալ Նահանգները ներկայում միջուկային զենք ունեցող հինգ պետությունների երկխոսության, Միջուկային զենքի չտարածման պայմանագրի համատեքստում կարծիքների շարունակվող փոխանակման գործընթացի նախագահն է։

Ինչպես տեղեկացրել են պետդեպարտամենտում, ԱՄՆ-ն հունիսի 13-14-ին Կահիրեում կազմակերպել է փորձագետների աշխատանքային հանդիպում Չինաստանի, Ֆրանսիայի, Ռուսաստանի եւ Մեծ Բրիտանիայի ու Հյուսիսային Իռլանդիայի Միացյալ Թագավորության գործընկերների հետ։ Արտաքին գործերի եւ պաշտպանության նախարարությունների համապատասխան փորձագետները քննարկել են ռազմավարական ռիսկերի նվազեցման, ինչպես նաեւ միջուկային դոկտրինի եւ քաղաքականության հարցերը։

ԱՄՆ պատվիրակությունը ողջունել է պատվիրակությունների պրոֆեսիոնալ մոտեցումը եւ քննարկմանը պաշտպանության նախարարությունների ներկայացուցիչների ներգրավումը։

Միացյալ Նահանգները կշարունակի ջանքեր գործադրել, որպեսզի աջակցի այդ հինգ երկրների փորձագետների միջեւ կարեւոր այս թեմաների քննարկմանը։
