Հայաստանը հեռացվել է ամերիկյան  «Defender 23» զորավարժության մասնակից երկրների ցանկից: Պենտագոնի պաշտոնական կայքում ավելի վաղ տեղադրված հաղորդագրության տեքստում փոփոխություն է կատարվել։

Ապրիլի 22-ին Եվրոպայում կմեկնարկեն Defender 23 զորավարժությունները, որոնք կտևեն երկու ամիս և կընդգրկեն եվրոպական 10 երկրների տարածք։

«Մոտավորապես 9,000 ԱՄՆ զինվորական և մոտավորապես 17,000 զինծառայող 26 դաշնակից և գործընկեր երկրներից կմասնակցեն զորավարժություններին, իսկ դրանք կանցկացվեն 10 տարբեր եվրոպական երկրներում», - ասվում է ԱՄՆ պաշտպանության նախարարության հայտարարության մեջ:
