Թուրքիայի հարավ-արևելքում փետրվարի 6-ին տեղի ունեցած երկրաշարժերի հետևանքով զոհերի թիվը գերազանցել է 47 հազարը, մարտի 10-ին հայտարարել է նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանը։

«Դարի աղետն այս կամ այն ​​կերպ ազդել է 10 մարզերի մոտ 14 միլիոն քաղաքացիների կյանքի վրա։ Երկրաշարժերի հետևանքով զոհվել է ավելի քան 47 հազար քաղաքացի, վիրավորվել և փրկվել է ավելի քան 115 հազար քաղաքացի»,- ասել է Էրդողանը մայիսի 14-ին համընդհանուր ընտրություններ անցկացնելու մասին հրամանագրի ստորագրումից հետո։

Նրա խոսքով, փլուզված և փլուզման վտանգի տակ գտնվող շենքերի թիվը գերազանցում է 270 հազարը, իշխանությունները նախատեսում են տարվա ընթացքում տուժածների համար կառուցել շուրջ 244 հազար նոր բազմաբնակարան շենք և 75 հազար տուն։
