Նրա կարծիքով՝ միջուկային սպառնալիքը կմեծանա, քանի որ Ուկրաինայում հակամարտությունը շարունակվում է։ Որքան երկար շարունակվի հակամարտությունը, այնքան շատ մարդիկ կմահանան։

«Եկել է Ուկրաինայի հետ աշխատելու ժամանակը, որպեսզի սկսենք ուսումնասիրել բանակցությունների միջոցով հակամարտությունը դադարեցնելու հնարավորությունը», - բացատրել է Բանը:

Ավելի վաղ Ճապոնիայի վարչապետ Ֆումիո Կիսիդան երկրի խորհրդարանում տեղի ունեցած բանավեճի ժամանակ հայտարարել էր, որ Հիրոսիմայում G7-ի առաջիկա գագաթնաժողովի մասնակիցները պետք է հանդես գան ընդդեմ Ռուսաստանի կողմից միջուկային զենքի կիրառման սպառնալիքներին և հնարավորությանը։
