Թուրքիայում հարավ-արևելքում տեղի ունեցած ավերիչ երկրաշարժի հետևանքով զոհերի թիվը գերազանցել է 20000-ը, Սիրիայում զոհվածների հետ միասին երկրաշարժից արդեն ավելի քան 23 հազար զոհված կա։

Թուրքիայի առողջապահության նախարար Ֆահրեթին Քոջան ասել է, որ փետրվարի 10-ի երեկոյան արդեն հաստատվել է 20213 մարդու մահ։ Վիրավորների թիվը գերազանցել է 80 հազարը։

Փրկարարները շարունակում են փլատակների ապամոնտաժումը՝ հույս ունենալով, որ դրանց տակ դեռ կենդանի մարդիկ կգտնեն։ Ուրբաթ օրը դուրս են բերվել բազմաթիվ մարդիկ, ովքեր թակարդում են մնացել ավելի քան 100 ժամ։
