Հերոսացած եղբոր պատվին ծնողները նրան Հակոբ են կոչել:

Մոր՝ Հումայիկ Գրիգորյանի հղիության ամբողջ ընթացքը հսկել է «Էրեբունի» ԲԿ ծննդատան փոխտնօրեն Նորայր Ղուկասյանը՝ իր թիմի հետ: 46-ամյա կնոջ հղիությունն, ընդհանուր առմամբ հարթ է անցել: 37 շաբաթականում կատարվել է կեսարյան հատում: 

Փոքրիկ Հակոբը ծնվել է 2890գ քաշով, 50 սմ հասակով: 

Ժամկետային զինծառայող Հակոբ Գրիգորյանը զոհվել է պատերազմի հենց սկզբի օրերին՝ հերոսաբար կռվելով ընկերների հետ: 

Գրիգորյանները 3 աղջիկ ունեն, Հակոբը տան միակ որդին էր, ուստի ծնողները որոշեցին, որ ընտանիքում անպայման պետք է նորից Հակոբ ծնվի:
