ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի մեխանիզմն այլեւս չի գործում: Այս մասին ԱՄՆ սենատում կազմակերպված «Կովկասում ԱՄՆ քաղաքականության գնահատականները» քննարկման ժամանակ ասել է ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի ԱՄՆ համանախագահ, Կովկասյան բանակցությունների հարցերով ավագ խորհրդական Ֆիլիպ Ռիքերը։

«Մինսկի խմբի հիմնական նպատակները մնում են, ես կապ եմ պահպանում Ֆրանսիայի հետ։ Ադրբեջանն էլ ասել է, որ այլևս գործ չի ունենա Մինսկի խմբի հետ։ Ինձ թվում է, որ ամեն ինչ կհասնի այն կետին, որ մենք կարող ենք կոնսենսուսի շնորհիվ վերջ դնել այդ մանդատին, քանի որ մեխանիզմն այլևս չի գործում: Մենք զբաղվում ենք Ադրբեջանի և Հայաստանի միջև խաղաղության կարգավորմամբ միայն Բաքվի և Երևանի հետ անմիջական փոխգործակցության գործընթացում»,– ՏԱՍՍ-ի փոխանցմամբ՝ ասել է դիվանագետը։
