Ինչպես ավելի վաղ հայտնել ենք, Վարդենիսում զոհված զինծառայողներից մեկի հայրը` Մանվել Մարտիրոսյանը, ինքնասպանություն է գործել: Սակայն, որոշ ժամանակ անց, մամուլում լուր տարածվեց, որ որդին հոր ինքնասպանությունից ժամեր անց զանգահարել է տուն և ողջ է։ 

«Հրապարակին» հայտնի դարձավ, որ որդին՝ Մխիթար Մարտիրոսյանը, նախ վիրավորված է եղել, ապա զոհվել:
Մարմինը գտնվել է Մարտունի քաղաքի դիահերձարանում և նույնականացվել է:

Հիշեցնենք, որ սեպտեմբերի 13-ին ադրբեջանական զինված ուժերը հրետանուց, խոշոր տրամաչափի և այլ զինատեսակներից կրակ էր բացել հայկական դիրքերի ուղղությամբ, որի արդյունքում ունենք 207 զոհ եւ անհետ կորած, 293 վիրավոր:
