Շրի Լանկայում խորհրդարանը երկրի նոր նախագահ է ընտրել

Շրի Լանկայի խորհրդարանը երկրի հաջորդ նախագահի պաշտոնում ընտրել է Ռանիլ Վիկրամասինգհեին, հաղորդում է Ada Derana գործակալությունը։

Գործակալության տվյալներով՝ ներկա պահին 73-ամյա Ռանիլ Վիկրամասինգհեն երկրի գործող վարչապետն է և նախագահի ժամանակավոր պաշտոնակատարը։ Խորհրդարանի անդամները նրան ընտրել են գաղտնի քնվեարկության արդյունքում, որն սկսվել էր հուլիսի 20-ի առավոտյան։

Նախագահական ընտրություններում Վիկրամասինգհեի հակառակորդներն էին այլախոհ Պոդուջանա Պերամունան, նախկին նախարար Դուլաս Ալահապպերումեն և «Ազգային ժողովրդական իշխանության» կուսակցության առաջնորդ, պատգամավոր Անուրե Կումարե Դիսանայակեն։

«Քվեարկության արդյունքներով Շրի Լանկայի Դեմոկրատական Սոցիալիստական Հանրապետության ութերորդ նախագահ է ընտրվել Ռանիլ Վիկրամասինգհեն», - հայտարարել է Շրի Լանկայի հաշվիչ հանձնաժողովի նախագահը։
