Դիվանագետն այս կերպ է մեկնաբանել Ուկրաինայի զինված ուժերի կողմից Դոնբասի, ինչպես նաև Խերսոնի և Զապորոժիեի մարզերի խաղաղ բնակիչների գնդակոծությունները։

«Սա պատերազմ չէ թշնամու դեմ, պայքար չէ Ռուսաստանի դեմ, այլ կռիվ է սեփական երկրի հետ։ Եթե մինչ այս Կիևի ռեժիմը քաղաքականապես էր ոչնչացնում Ուկրաինան, ֆիզիկապես ոչնչացնում էին Դոնբասի ժողովրդին, ապա այսօր մարդկանց ոչնչացումը տեղի է ունենում Ուկրաինայի ամբողջ տարածքում», - ասել է Զախարովան՝ շեշտելով, որ Վլադիմիր Զելենսկին գործում է այն ուժերի շահերից, որոնք որևէ կապ չունեն Ուկրաինայի հետ։
