Ուկրաինայի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Զելենսկին հույս է հայտնել, որ Բելառուսը չի դառնա ուկրաինական հակամարտության կողմ, սակայն խոստովանում է, որ այդ երկրին կարող են ներքաշվել դրա մեջ։ «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ այս մասին Զելենսկին ասել է  «The Economist»-ի կառավարական կլոր սեղանի առցանց ելույթի ժամանակ։

«Մենք կարծում ենք, որ Բելառուսը չի խառնվի այս պատերազմին, բայց սադրանքներ կան ու կլինեն։ Բելառուսը ներքաշվելու սպառնալիքի տակ է»,- ասել է Զելենսկին՝ ընդգծելով, որ Կիևը պատրաստվում է իրադարձությունների նման զարգացման։

Ավելի վաղ Բելառուսի նախագահ Ալեքսանդր Լուկաշենկոն հայտարարել էր, որ իր ռուս գործընկեր Վլադիմիր Պուտինը երբեք իրեն չի խնդրել մասնակցել Ուկրաինայում ռազմական գործողություններին։
