Թուրքիայի արտգործնախարար Մևլութ Չավուշօղլուն սպառնացել է Հունաստանին՝ ասելով, որ Անկարան վճռական գործողությունների կդիմի, եթե Աթենքը չապառազմականացնի Էգեյան ծովի՝ Թուրքիային սահմանակից 1 տասնյակից ավել կղզիները, հայտնում է Ermenihaber-ը:

«1923-ի Լոզանի և 1947-ի Փարիզ խաղաղության պայմանագրերով պայմանով Հունաստանին տրված այդ կղզիների կարգավիճակի խախտումը հակասում է միջազգային իրավունքին: Հունաստանն այդ կղզիները սկսեց ռազմականացնել 1960-ականներին, մենք էլ ասացինք, որ եթե դրանից չհրաժարվի, ապա ինքնիշխանության վիճարկում կսկսվի: Մենք ծայրաստիճան լուրջ ենք տրամադրված: Եթե Հունաստանը չհետևի դրան մենք այս խնդրի կապակցությամբ այլ մակարդակում միջոցներ կձեռնարկենք»,- ասել է Թուրքիայի ԱԳ նախարարը:

Հիշեցնենք, որ վերոնշյալ պայմանագրերով նախատեսված է, որ Հունաստանը չպետք է ռազմականացնի Էգեյան ծովի՝ Թուրքիային սահմանակից մոտ մեկ ու կես տասնյակ կղզիներ:
