Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանը հայտարարել է, որ Թուրքիան պատրաստվում է Սիրիայի տարածքում նոր ռազմական գործողություն սկսել: Այս մասին հայտնում է BBC-ի թուրքական ծառայությունը:

«Մենք սկսում ենք նոր քայլեր ձեռնարկել մեր հարավային սահմանների երկայնքով 30կմ խորությամբ թերի մնացած հատվածներում անվտանգության գոտիներ ձևավորելու ուղղությամբ»,- Թուրքիայի կառավարության նիստում ասել է Էրդողանը:

«Մեր երկրի և անվտանգության գոտիների այն հատվածները, որոնք հաճախակի հարձակումների, ոտնձգությունների թիրախ են դառնում, պետք է լինեն մեր գործողությունների առաջնահերթությունները»,- հավելել է Էրդողանը:

«Հենց որ մեր թուրքական զինված ուժերը, անվտանգության ուժերն ու հետախուզությունը ավարտեն իրենց նախապատրաստական աշխատանքները, այդ գործողությունները կսկսվեն: Մենք մեր որոշումները կընդունենք հինգշաբթի օրը կայանալիք Ազգային անվտանգության խորհրդի նիստում»,- եզրափակել է նա:
