Европейский союз предпримет дополнительные шаги против России, если ситуация в Украине ухудшится, заявила председатель Еврокомиссии Урсула фон дер Ляйен.

«Наша цель — лишить Кремль способности вести войну со своими соседями», — заявила фон дер Ляйен после встречи с президентом Румынии Клаусом Йоханнисом. «Нам необходимо стать независимыми от российского газа, нефти и угля. Наша решимость идти вперед в этом деле сильна как никогда», — добавила она.

Она сообщила, что на помощь беженцам из Украины будет выделено не менее 500 млн евро из бюджета Евросоюза.
