Ամերիկայի Միացյալ Նահանգների նախագահ Ջո Բայդենը հայտարարել է, որ ԱՄՆ-ի զորքերը ներգրավված չեն և չեն ներգրավվի Ուկրաինայում Ռուսաստանի հետ հակամարտության մեջ։

«Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ՝ Սպիտակ տանը ունեցած ելույթի ընթացքում ԱՄՆ նախագահն ընդգծել է, որ ամերիկյան զորքերը Եվրոպա են ուղարկվում ոչ թե Ուկրանիայում կռվելու, այլ ՆԱՏՕ-ի դաշնակիցներին պաշտպանելու համար։

«Չնայած մենք Ուկրանիային պաշտպանության ոլորտում շուրջ 650 միլիոն դոլարի աջակցություն ենք տրամադրել անցած տարի,  սակայն կրկնում եմ, մեր զինված ուժերը ներգրավված չեն և չեն ներգրավվելու Ուկրանիայում Ռուսաստանի հետ կոնֆլիկտում։ Մեր ուժերը Եվրոպա են ուղարկվում ոչ թե Ուկրանիայում կռվելու, այլ ՆԱՏՕ-ի մեր դաշնակիցներին պաշտպանելու համար։ Ինչպես ես հստակ հասկացրել եմ, ԱՄՆ-ն կպաշտպանի ՆԱՏՕ-ի տարածքի յուրաքանչյուր դյույմը՝ ամերիկյան հզորության ամբողջ ուժով»,- հայտարարել է Բայդենը։
