Ազգային անվտանգության հարցերով ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահի խորհրդական Ջեյք Սալիվանը հեռախոսազրույց է ունեցել ՆԱՏՕ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղար Ենս Ստոլտենբերգի հետ: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, հաղորդում է Սպիտակ տունը:

«Նրանք քննարկել են Ռուսաստանի հետ երկխոսությունը շարունակելու պատրաստակամությունը ապաէսկալացման դիվանագիտական ճանապարհը գտնելու համար»,-ասվում է հաղորդագրության մեջ:

ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահի վարչակազմում ընդգծել են ՆԱՏՕ-ի գծով դաշնակիցների տարածքները ցանկացած սպառնալիքից պաշտպանելու պատրաստակամությունը, այդ թվում՝ արևելյան թևն ամրապնդելու ճանապարհով: Նշվում է, որ կողմերը զրույցի ընթացքում ընդգծել են հանձնառությունը Ուկրաինայի ինքնիշխանությանն ու տարածքային ամբողջականությանը:
