Մարտին Երկրին է մոտենալու 138971 (2001 CB21) անվանումն ստացած աստղակերպը:  Ինչպես հայտնում է, Newsweek պարբերականը, աստղակերպի տրամագիծը կազմում է 1.3 կմ:

ՆԱՍԱ-ի մասնագետները նշում են, որ երկնային մարմինը չափսերով 4 անգամ գերազանցում է Էյֆելյան աշտարակին: Ակկալվում է, որ այն մեր մոլորակից կողքով կանցնի մարտի 4-ին Երևանի ժամանակով 12:00-ին:

Աստղակերպը շարժվում է մոտ 43 000 կմ/ժամ արագությամբ: ՆԱՍԱ-ն այն բնութագրում է որպես «պոտենցիալ վտանգավոր»: Երկրին ամենից մոտ գտնվելու պահին մոլորակից դրա հեռավորութունը կկազմի ավելի քան 3 մլն մղոն, ինչը 10 անգամ ավելի հեռու է, քան Լուսինը:
