Ինչպես գրում է ՌԻԱ Նովոստին,  Ուկրաինան և Թուրքիան ստորագրել են ազատ առևտրի գոտու (ԱԱԳ) մասին համաձայնագիր, փաստաթղթի ստորագրումը, որը տեղի է ունեցել երկու երկրների ղեկավարների ներկայությամբ, հեռարձակվել է Ուկրաինայի նախագահի աշխատակազմի ֆեյսբուքյան պաշտոնական էջում։

Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանը հինգշաբթի պաշտոնական այցով ժամանել է Ուկրաինա, որտեղ հանդիպել է Ուկրաինայի առաջնորդ Վլադիմիր Զելենսկու հետ։ Ավելի վաղ Ուկրաինայի նախարարների կաբինետը հաստատել էր առևտրային համաձայնագրի նախագիծը։ Փաստաթղթի բացատրական գրառման մեջ նշվում է, որ Թուրքիայի հետ ԱԱԳ համաձայնագիրը կնպաստի երկու երկրների միջև առևտրի ակտիվացմանը, արտահանման աճին, նոր աշխատատեղերի ստեղծմանը, տեխնոլոգիաների փոխանցմանը և փորձի փոխանակմանը։

Թուրքական Anadolu գործակալության փոխանցմամբ՝ 2021 թվականին երկու երկրների միջեւ ապրանքաշրջանառությունը կազմել է 7,42 մլրդ դոլար։
