ՆԱՏՕ-ում խոստովանում են, որ Ռուսաստանը «չի պատրաստվում ներխուժել» Ուկրաինա, հայտնում է ՌԻԱ Նովոստին՝ հղում անելով Euractiv կայքի աղբյուրին։
Ինչպես հայտնում է կայքը, «ՆԱՏՕ-ի աղբյուրի գնահատմամբ՝ Ռուսաստանը ներխուժում չի ծրագրում»։ Դրա համար հարկավոր են ռազմական հնարավորություններ, որոնք տարբերվում են նրանցից, որոնք իբր «ներկայումս ծավալված են» Ուկրաինայի սահմանների մոտ։
 
Միաժամանակ աղբյուրը նշել է, որ այս իրավիճակի շուրջ «գոյություն ունեն լարվածության նվազման տարբերակներ արդեն վաղը»։
ՌԴ նախագահի մամուլի քարտուղար Դմիտրի Պեսկովը հայտարարել էր, որ Ռուսաստանը զորքերը տեղափոխում է իր տարածքի սահմաններում և իր հայեցողությամբ: Նրա խոսքով՝ դա ոչ մեկին չի սպառնում և որևէ մեկին չպետք է անհանգստացնի։ Իսկ ինչպես ավելի վաղ հայտարարել էր ՌԴ արտգործնախարար Սերգեյ Լավրովը, Ռուսաստանը ոչ մի առիթ չի ստեղծում Ուկրաինայի շուրջ կոնֆլիկտային իրավիճակի համար:
