Բելառուսի նախագահ Ալեքսանդր Լուկաշենկոն հայտարարել է, որ պետք է պատրաստ լինել իրավիճակի ցանկացած զարգացման երկրում և երկրի սահմանների մոտ:

«Մենք պետք է պատրաստ լինենք իրադարձությունների ցանկացած զարգացման: Հասկացեք. հարցը մեր մեջ չէ: Ինչպես և այն ժամանակ, և Հայրենական պատերազմում 1812 թվականին, Առաջին աշխարհամարտում, Հայրենական մեծ պատերազմում… Կոպիտ ասած՝ մենք ոչ ոքի պետք չենք: Դուք գիտեք, թե ինչ է նրանց պետք»,- Լուկաշենկոյին մեջբերում է «ՌԻԱ Նովոստի»-ն:

Նրա խոսքով՝ օրինակը, թե որքան վճռական կարող է գործել Բելառուսը, ցուցադրվել է 2020 թվականին՝ նախագահական ընտրական արշավի և դրա ավարտից հետո:

«Ես ստիպված էի ոտքի հանել բանակի կեսը և ուղղել երկրի արևմտյան կողմը: Այն, ինչ տեղի ունեցավ այստեղ ներսում, դրանք դեռ ծաղիկներ են: Պտուղներն այնտեղ էին: Եվ եթե մենք ժամանակին չխափանեինք նրանց գործողությունները, գուցե իրավիճակը ևս այլ կերպ զարգանար»,- մեկնաբանել է Լուկաշենկոն:
